Project overview

During the lead-up to the general election of 2024, CCSTP produced resources to help Catholic groups and parishes take the opportunity to apply the principles of Catholic Social Teaching to promote justice, peace and human dignity before and during the election campaign, and to lay the foundations for engagement with MPs after the general election.

We also used our networks to share resources and training from other Catholic, or faith-based, organisations which encouraged reflection and opened up conversations.

Outputs and impacts

CCSTP produced nine short videos, with discussion questions, on Catholic approaches to issues including climate and nature, peace and conflict, work, and refugees and migration.

These videos were designed to be used for individual study and reflection, as well as to be shown in parishes and groups. They were designed to be still relevant after the general campaign had finished.

You can access all the videos here.

We also produced practical guidance for first-time voters.
